Conflict- The struggle to be the impossible: Perfect

Lately I have been reading "skinny" by lbi Kasli. It's about how one girl and her sister dealt with her being anorexic but from both sisters point of view.Giselle, the more centered of attention character, is the one who is struggling with anorexia. Giselle blames her past complicated relationship with her dead father as the reason she became anorexic. But It could possibly be because she is struggling to be the Impossible which is to be perfect. Or as Garold sees it perfectly skinny. Food is not a part of Giselle's life anymore and even though she's is not eating food, it's causing her to get eaten alive. What makes this harder for Giselle is that now that she is sick, she has got a younger perfectly healthy sister named holly worried about her too. Holly is worried about sister who is getting consumed before her very eyes and doesn't know how handle it or try to fix it.Giselle looks at her sister in jealousy but loving her at the same time because she isn't in the same state as her this makes her feel pressured be more perfect.
Giselle feels that food is an enemy and when she is skinny like is now, she is perfect but when she is sick in the hospital she realizes how dangerous being "perfect" is through her eyes.One thing that stood out to me is that holly knows that Giselle's has a disease and she learned more about in a book called the perfectionists disorder: the girl who thought she had no stomach.ni think that this is a lot like how Giselle may think of herself and she may think that she has no stomach and it's not necessary for her to eat. Another thing that stood out to me was that holly observes her sister and developed another conflict. This time she saw Giselle eyeballing the food on Christmas dinner. But she wasn't looking at for any good reason, it was because she thinking up a plan on how she could get rid of her dinner while being as discreet as possible with out anyone knowing. But holly knew she didn't do anything about it. In a way I think that holly feels bad is she is tells her mom something she sees Giselle doing thats bad because she might feel like she is helping giselle.
Both of the sisters have conflicting emotions. Giselle's are that she nned s to be perfectly skinny and look like her sister but at the same time she knows that it's hurting her very much and could kill her so she needs to stop but won't. Hollis conflicting emotions are that she sees what her sister is doing wrong but won't speak up because she feels like she may be helping her sister and Giselle will be mad if she told her mom that she was tossing every dish of food her mother gave to her but realizes that this could save her life and it's harming her immensely when she doesnt eat. I think that both of these sisters could be hurting each other unintentionally. They both need to speak each other before Giselle gets hurt.

In the story smiles to go by jerry spinelli willntuppence and his sister tabby learn that life is valuable and so is their love for eachother. Will thinks that tabby always ruins everything for him andthat shenalways gets what she wants but he soon realizes that tabby looks up to her brother and is the wway she is because of him.
Tabby takes itway too far one day though. Will has always known that tabby would love to learn how to ride wills skaTeboard blaxk viper and that she is always asking himfor help on how to ride the skateboard but will thinks its too risky and dangerous for a girl like tabby and ofcourse doesnt want to be responsible if tabby gets hurt but tabby has a mind of her own ofcourse and shell do what ever she wants even if shes told not to.
When no one was home but tabbys aunt tabby decided to go and ride black viper down death hill which was the steepest hill in town but when will is told to go to the hispital he knows instanly what had happened tabby was seriously injured.
