At the end of sold, lakshmi finally became free from i gather. The ending of this book Gives plenty of little hints that leave hanging but force you to infer a little bit if this is happy ending or not. At the end laskshmi is still lakshmi just stronger and older nnd smarter than before. She learned to cherish what she had again and remember the things that mean most to her not the makeup nail paint and shiny clothes but her books. She is finally released from this hell on earth and now she can escape to her normal life well... Hopefully.
